Low-friction coherent flow

A flow with minimal unnecessary friction while preserving the tension, boundaries and direction required for signal.

Zero friction is a theoretical limit; zero tension can also erase the signal.

Why this term exists

Optimization is often reduced to removing friction. Superflow distinguishes unnecessary friction from productive resistance, boundary and mediation.

Definition in the system

A good flow is not frictionless in the literal sense. Constraints can preserve safety, meaning and direction. Detraction can provide controlled slip. Takt can require waiting. Skeptical friction can prevent premature conclusions.

Superflow therefore asks which friction is carrying function and which friction is only wasting energy, time or attention. The target is coherent transfer, not maximal speed.

This makes Superflow useful across interfaces, organizations, learning systems and technical pipelines: remove dead friction, preserve load-bearing structure.

Example

A checkout flow that removes redundant fields improves Superflow; removing the final confirmation for an irreversible action might remove necessary friction and reduce safety.

What it is not

Superflow is not “everything must be instant” and not a universal call to remove constraints.
