Why this term exists

Meaningful relation is not only structural; it is temporal. Tactosema isolates the timing layer so it can be described and tested instead of hidden inside vague words like “synchronization”.

Definition in the system

Tactosema studies response windows, phase-locking, n:m locking, cross-frequency relations, coupling, order and latency. Its purpose is not to reduce every system to an oscillator, but to make timing assumptions explicit where they matter.

The term extends Takt from a concept into a research area. Takt is the effective temporal frame; Tactosema asks what creates, stabilizes, shifts or breaks that frame.

This makes Tactosema relevant to biological coordination, dialogue, cognition, distributed systems and control loops wherever timing changes whether relation can produce consequence.

Example

Two processes can be individually correct but mutually useless if their response windows never overlap. Tactosema asks what timing relation would allow the interaction to occur.

What it is not

Tactosema is not a synonym for clock synchronization and does not assume one universal rhythm.

Formal / operational note

Minimal coupling model: dδφ/dt = Δω − g_c sin(δφ), where g_c is effective coupling. Generic response time is t_resp; τ remains reserved for Trajon.
