Why this term exists
Intervention is often imagined as a large reset. ΔΨ gives MonkOS a smaller unit: change attention just enough to break an automatic loop and open another trajectory.
Definition in the system
ΔΨ can be produced by a shift of gaze, posture, breath, context, task or interpretation. The intervention is defined by consequence rather than drama: it matters if the next state differs meaningfully from the one the automatic loop would have produced.
A sequence of small ΔΨ interventions can create continuity without requiring one overwhelming act of will. This makes the concept useful in interface design, learning, reflective practice and system control.
ΔΨ belongs to the attention layer of MonkOS and should not be confused with Trajon, which belongs to the duration-path model.
Example
Moving from an endless feed to one bounded task can be a ΔΨ if the shift is enough to change the next action and restore a coherent line of attention.
